So to answer the original question: I think it’s a very 80’s unrequited love time thing. With some very dodgy miming on the video, but would welcome 2nd, 3rd and 4th opinions. Anyone?

It’s that “miming” or playing invisible instruments that gets me. What is that? “True love won’t desert you?” Like…even though your instruments have walked away from you ‘cose you treated them badly, they’re still in your heart? And you mimic playing them though there’s nothing there? Huh?
